Content Curation with eDoer

Getting started

  • How do I become a content curator?

If you want to develop content on eDoer, all you need to do is register on eDoer CC application or cc.edoer.eu (for web version). Once your user is activated, you can also use the learning platform with the same credentials.

  • How do I know what type of content I want to add?

Before creating content on eDoer, we like to ask our experts to consider thinking about a few questions. Ask yourself, if your content provides a “quick fix” for a simple problem, then it might make sense to create a single "topic" rather than creating a full course.

If you are aiming to combine some topics (lessons) to cover a subject, you should probably go for a "course". Also, if you want to package a list of courses to create a long-term learning goal, "journey" might be the best option for you.

  • Can I have an organization page for my work? How do I set it up?

Yes, eDoer has an "organization feature" for colleagues of an institution or project that want to offer content. This features provides you with a dashboard for your organization that shows all educational content as well as additional information and team members. To set up an organization page, please send our team an e-mail (support.edoer@tib.eu) with the following information:

    • Name of the organization
    • Description
    • Website link
    • Contact e-mail
    • Logo and banner as jpg or png

Our admins will set up the page for you. An organization on eDoer always has one "coordinator" that has the permissions to change information and add new team members.

  • Can I integrate external tools or resources into my course?

Since eDoer links to existing online material on other platforms (e.g., websites, Youtube), you can easily embed them in your contents (journeys, courses, topics) via their weblink.

Content Quality Assurance

  • Who ensures quality on eDoer? Are there any quality criteria?

With the help of our AI tools, we try to support curators to develop their content in a rapid accurate way. It means that our algorithms analyze the existing up-to-date content on the Internet to provide you with the most accurate recommendations. So, curators can benefit from the recommendations in the process of content development/maintenance to offer high-quality content to learners.

  • Why are the recommendations suggested by the system not matching / How can I receive high-quality recommendations?

The quality of the recommendations highly depends on the relevance and specificity of the title (and other information like description, learning outcome, etc) assigned by the curator to the content (i.e., journey, course, topic). Therefore, we strongly recommend checking the info you provided and retry generating the recommendations.

Permission Management

  • Can I add or remove other collaborators from my content?

As an owner/editor of a content, you can decide who has permission to edit your content (for collaborative work). So, you can invite others and accept/reject the editing requests from the permission tab of a content (journey, course, topic).

Learning progress and assessments

  • Is there a way to track learner progress and performance?

For your learning contents, eDoer gives you a general overview on the following statistics:

    • Total number of learners
    • Finished learners
    • New learners
    • Current (active) learners
    • Assessment participation

Since eDoer is open to all users and we aim to protect their privacy, this information is not per learner.
